Post 21: Where do we go?
The Doomsday Clock is a symbol to remind us how close we are to a human-made global catastrophe. Established by the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists in 1947 the original setting was 7 minutes to midnight. The farthest setting was 17 minutes in 1991. On June 18, 2025 the Doomsday Clock is now 89 seconds to midnight.
On March 26, 2025 the European Commission advised people to stockpile enough food, water and essentials to last for 72 hours to increase readiness for catastrophic floods, fires, pandemics and military attacks.
Preparation is always a good strategy towards disasters. Unfortunately, stockpiling food is the least people can do in a dangerous world of failed leadership and doomsday cultists. It is like pyromaniacs advising people to have fire extinguishers at home.
I will be away from my desk as I send you my observations from different locations in the next few weeks.
Peace is still the best security!
